When couples dream of a wedding that feels elegant, romantic, and surrounded by beautiful gardens, Windsor Manor in Augusta, Georgia is the perfect setting. Bea and Howell chose this stunning venue for their intimate spring wedding in May, creating a day that felt timeless, heartfelt, and effortlessly beautiful.
As an Augusta wedding photographer, I’ve photographed weddings at a variety of venues throughout the CSRA, and Windsor Manor stands out for its unique blend of European-inspired architecture, manicured gardens, and seamless wedding-day experience. From the moment I arrived until the final champagne toasts, every part of the day flowed beautifully.

Windsor Manor is one of my favorite venues in the area, and it’s also featured in my guide to the best wedding venues in Augusta, Georgia.
Windsor Manor offers something truly special for couples seeking a classic and elegant wedding venue with garden party charm.
Designed by renowned architect Willis Irvin, the manor showcases stunning Tudor Revival architecture. The exterior features a beautiful combination of stucco and stone, diamond-paned windows, and a steep tiled roof that feels as though it belongs in the English countryside. The architecture alone creates a romantic backdrop for wedding portraits.
Inside, the venue is equally impressive. Rich stained woodwork, exposed beams reminiscent of a historic hunting lodge, and a large working sandstone fireplace create warmth and character throughout the home. Many of these materials were sourced directly from the property itself, adding to the venue’s history and charm.
For couples searching for a wedding venue that feels elegant, romantic, and slightly European, Windsor Manor delivers all three.

Bea and Howell planned a small and intimate wedding with approximately 20 guests. Their ceremony took place outdoors on the garden lawn beneath the venue’s arbor, surrounded by lush landscaping and spring greenery.
The overcast weather provided soft, flattering light throughout the day, creating ideal conditions for photography and allowing everyone to enjoy the gardens comfortably.
One of my favorite things about their wedding was how personal and meaningful every moment felt. With a smaller guest count, the day focused entirely on celebrating with the people who mattered most.
One of the biggest advantages of Windsor Manor is the variety of portrait locations available without ever leaving the property.
The landscaping throughout the property is absolutely beautiful. Carefully maintained gardens, mature trees, and winding pathways create countless opportunities for romantic portraits.
Some of my favorite images from Bea and Howell’s wedding were captured outdoors beneath the vine-covered archway. The greenery created a whimsical and timeless backdrop that perfectly complemented their elegant wedding style.
The piano room quickly became another favorite location for portraits.
The natural light pouring through the windows combined with the character of the room creates elegant images that feel both classic and refined. For couples wanting a mix of indoor and outdoor portraits, this room is an incredible option.
The architecture of Windsor Manor serves as a stunning backdrop for portraits. From the stonework to the Tudor-style details, every angle offers opportunities for beautiful wedding photographs.

As a wedding photographer, I pay close attention to how venues function throughout the day, not just how they look.
One thing that impressed me most about Windsor Manor was how seamlessly the timeline flowed. The venue offers both a bridal suite and groom’s getting-ready suite, making preparation convenient and stress-free.
The transition from getting ready, to ceremony, to reception felt effortless. The staff did an outstanding job keeping everything on schedule while allowing the day to feel relaxed and enjoyable.
When vendors and venue staff work together smoothly, couples get to spend less time worrying and more time fully experiencing their wedding day.

One concern many couples have when planning an outdoor wedding is weather.
Windsor Manor offers a covered reception area that can serve as an excellent backup option if rain becomes a concern. Having a beautiful contingency plan already built into the venue provides peace of mind while preserving the elegance of the celebration.
While the ceremony was beautiful, my favorite moment from Bea and Howell’s wedding happened during the reception.
As family and friends raised champagne glasses and shared heartfelt speeches, emotions filled the room. There were tears, laughter, and genuine joy as loved ones reflected on the couple’s relationship and future together.
These authentic moments are often the memories couples cherish most, and they are some of my favorite moments to document as a photographer.
